Shop + Dine Through Edmonds This Holiday Season
Written by Whitney Popa
The magic of Edmonds during the holidays really is something you have to see (and taste, and shop) to believe. Think: Twinkle lights on a very tall tree at Centennial Plaza, wreaths galore, a red mailbox with a direct line to the North Pole, and a walkable downtown packed with local shops and restaurants that make our favorite seaside city the ultimate holiday destination.
Whether you're hunting for the perfect Frasier Fir candle for a holiday host or your bestie's new favorite oversized sweater, Edmonds is the epicenter of everything holiday.
Treat yourself to tasty holiday sweets, clink your cocktails, browse for locally-made gifts, and soak in all the sparkle our city has to offer. Ready to shop and dine your way through the best season of the year? We’re taking you through downtown and beyond this holiday.
Pro tip: Check out our events calendar while you're planning—there's so much happening this season you won't want to miss a thing.
Where To Shop
You may have seen our overview of holiday markets, gifts, and shows. Supporting local small businesses as they pop up in pretty rows on Saturdays in December at the Holiday Market fills our hearts with joy (and ease). Plus, free holiday trolley rides and waves from Emily the Elf and the Edmonds Kind of Christmas himself, Richard Taylor Jr., don’t hurt either.
Got some candy-cane carrying kiddos pulling on your sleeve? If they want a chance to share their wish list with the big guy, check out our list of where to visit Santa all season long.
After you’ve completed your market rounds, take your shopping to the downtown blocks with our Downtown Edmonds 2025 Holiday Gift Guide acting as your compass.
And, if you’re looking for something unique or away from any crowds, check out these gems:
Aloha Northwest for Hawaiian-inspired finds

Shop And Dine Your Happy Heart Out
While the holiday season is often geared toward gifts for others, there is plenty of room for you in the festivities, too. Treat yourself to a little something extra at one of the shops (or spas—we have lots of spas!) and a meal you might not usually order.
With so many options in Edmonds, it’s a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure of shopping and eating your way through the city, and you really can’t go wrong with any direction you take.
Show us where your shopping and dining adventures take you. Add #edmondsholidays to your posts and we’ll virtually clink our glasses to yours!
