Pianist Judith Cohen has performed around the world, she returns to Cascadia with an ensemble of the Northwest’s top chamber musicians, including violinist James Garlick who has played with orchestras and at festivals across the US and tours internationally; Daren Weissfisch (oboe) who is the acclaimed Music Director of the Lake Union Civic Orchestra and conductor for the Tacoma Opera; and Elaine Walters (bassoon) who performs with orchestras all over the Northwest. They are bringing us sumptuous music by French composers: Maurice Ravel’s Sonata for Violin & Piano, Claude Debussy’s Girl with the Flaxen Hair and selections by Francis Poulenc.
Our concerts are about one-hour in length starting at 6 PM, leaving you time to dine out after. Your concert ticket includes admission to all the museum galleries so make sure you come early to see our current exhibits. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. for early museum viewing.
This is a unique opportunity to enjoy leading classical performers up close, in our intimate gallery setting surrounded by beautiful art from the Northwest – the way chamber music was meant to be experienced!
