Music in the Museum

Beethoven & Lombardini

After a memorable concert in with us 2024, Skyros String Quartet marks their return to Cascadia with quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven and Maddelena Lombardini (1745-1818).

Established in 2010 Skyros has been heard at some of the most prestigious venues and music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, the Seattle Chamber Music Society, the Deer Valley Music Festival and on tour in China.  Skyros had the honor of giving the West Coast premiere of the newly composed Piano Quintet by Philip Glass with acclaimed concert pianist Paul Barnes.  “A ravishing, articulate, sonically appealing approach” (Gapplegate Classical-Modern Music Review), with “enthusiasm and precision” (Audiophile Audition).  The members of Skyros Quartet are Sarah Pizzichemi (violin), Brandon Vance (violin), Justin Kurys (viola) and Timothy Pizzichemi (cello).

The Cascadia concerts are about one-hour in length starting at 6 PM, leaving you time to dine out after.  Your concert ticket includes admission to all the museum galleries so make sure you come early to see our current exhibits.

It’s an elegant opportunity to enjoy leading classical performers up close, in our intimate gallery setting surrounded by beautiful art from the Northwest – the way chamber music was meant to be experienced!

Seating is limited and these concerts often sell-out, so please we suggest reserving your seats well in advance.

$16 for Museum Members
