Edmonds 4th of July 5K, 1K Family Run & 1K Senior Saunter
The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Run for Good Racing Company, and presented by Peoples Bank, is excited to present the 4th of July 5K, 1K Family Run & new this year the 1K Senior Saunter.
Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a fun, healthy way to start your Independence Day, this event is for you! Stick around after the race to enjoy the Edmonds 4th of July Parade and keep the celebration going. All proceeds benefit the Chamber's programming and bringing great events to Edmonds.
The Edmonds 4th of July 5K Run presented by Peoples Bank is a fun and exciting race for the whole family starting at 9:45am. Registration opens in February. The 5K is timed and prizes are given for the top three runners in each gender and first place finisher in each age category. Winners will be recognized and prizes given shortly after the end of the race finish. View the 5K Route Here
The 1K Family Run is NOT timed, and pre-registration is required. The 1k race start time has changed from 2025 and will be starting at 9:30am and will be the first group at the start line.
The 1K Senior Saunter is NOT timed and and pre-registration is required. This is a great opportunity for our active 60+ community members who want to enjoy the run but not tackle the 5K. The Senior Saunter starts at 9:35 am. Bring your friends and take part at your own pace for this enjoyable distance.
Start for all races is at Edmonds City Park and Finish line is at 4th and Main.
The 5K race route winds through the scenic streets of Edmonds and the Town of Woodway, culminating in a thrilling finish right on the Edmonds 4th of July parade route, where crowds cheer you on!
Think you’re fast? Try to beat Ol’ Man Brackett!
For those speedier runners, a beloved element of the old Edmonds 5K, you can still race against a costumed runner portraying one of Edmonds' legendary founders, Ol’ Man Brackett, if you can beat him to the finish line, you’ll earn bragging rights for the year.
Win VIP Parade Seats! - New this year!
Register before June 10th and be automatically entered to win 4 seats in the VIP Parade Viewing area. No need to put your chairs early, you will be sitting pretty. Winner announced at Packet Pickup on July 2. You do not need to be present to win.
