Cherry Poppin’ Daddies & Davina and The Vagabonds

Initially rooted in the underground punk scene, the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies made waves with their unique fusion of swing-era jazz and modern rock elements, gaining a reputation for their explosive live performances. They burst into the mainstream in 1997 with the release of Zoot Suit Riot, but have always been about more than nostalgia—they bring a modern sensibility to classic sounds, breathing new life into the swing genre while staying true to their punk roots.

Davina and the Vagabonds have created a stir on the national music scene with their high-energy live shows, level A musicianship, sharp-dressed professionalism, and commanding stage presence. With influences ranging from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits, the band is converting audiences one show at a time, from Vancouver to Miami and across Europe.

GENRE: Swing/Jazz/Rockabilly

WHAT TO EXPECT: a swingin’ night of retro flair with a genre-blending mix of jump blues, jazz, swing, and rock ‘n’ roll attitude.

Sponsored by Kim Bayer-Augustavo & Edward Augustavo, Cheryl Foster & Carl Zapora, and Nicholas & Kathryn Sweers
